Generally, powder packaging will be equipped with a feeder (usually a vacuum feeder or ascrew conveyor), an auger filler, and avertical packaging machineto achieve automatic powder packaging. So under what circumstances do you need to use a vacuum feeder and ascrew conveyorat the same time?
First of all, let's first understand the characteristics of the vacuum feeder andscrew conveyorrespectively.The vacuum feeder uses compressed air to generate a high vacuum through a vacuum generator to realize the conveying of materials. It has good sealing properties and can effectively prevent dust problems and moisture absorption and agglomeration of powder.
Thescrew conveyoris mainly composed of a hopper and a screw. The hopper can be vibrated, and the amplitude can be adjusted by the characteristics of different materials; the screw-type feeding method is adopted, and the single conveying capacity is large and the feeding speed is fast.
Generally, for manufacturers with stricter powder control, we recommend the vacuum feeder. However, because some customers pack larger bags, they need to use a larger vertical packaging machine model. At this time, the overall height of the machine will increase. If the vacuum feeder is used directly, the feeder pipeline needs to be lengthened, which will result in low conveying efficiency. Therefore, in this case, add one more screw feeder and add a feed port at the position of the silo to connect the discharge port of the vacuum feeder, then can solve the problem of feeding efficiency caused by dust and height.
